Next Week’s Learning

Oxygen
On Monday, we will be going on our Fiver Challenge reward trip to Oxygen. Please ensure that your child has a packed lunch and wears appropriate clothing. As we will be representing the school, they should wear appropriate school uniform or school PE kit. Please check any details that are on the letter that was handed out previously. We are planning to return to school by 3pm, in time for Celebration Evening. Year 6 will be meeting at 3:45pm in the studio hall to perform some of the songs from our production.

On Tuesday, Year 6 will also enjoy their final Sports Day whereby parents are encouraged to come and support the children if they are able to. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school.

In class, we will be learning how to create our own app in computing as well as drawing self-portraits in art.

Swimming
To finish the last full week of the academic year, we will be going swimming as a statutory requirement (Thursday- 6M and 6G, Friday- 6H and 6K). Please ensue that your child is in school on time as we will be leaving promptly to get to Cheam Leisure Centre.

15.07.19 Celebration Evening- Busking Stations

During Celebration Evening, there will be various Busking Stations around the school. This a is a great opportunity for children to perform! They can play an instrument or sing a song, and this could be a solo, duet or small group. If children need an instrument, they will need to bring it to the Busking Station.

There is no particular order or sign up sheet- children can enter the Busking Station if it is free and perform for the given time on the timer.

Last year, teachers were very impressed with the talent of the performers and we are looking forward to the Busking Stations this year.

Happy performing and good luck!

Year 6 Production Reminder

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please find below details of drop off and collection times for next week’s Summer Production. Children will need to be at school each evening from Tuesday 9th July until Thursday 11th July.

For evening performances, all children should arrive via the Avenue Road entrance at 5:15pm. Costumes will be left in school each night and, when children arrive, they will change into them.

Ticket holders will need to enter via the Avenue Road entrance at 5:30pm for each evening, and follow the signs to the Studio Hall; the evening performances will start at 6:00pm. The production will end at approximately 8pm each evening. Children will change back into their own clothes, and can then be collected from the Infant playground (Dorset Road entrance).

For the Friday morning performance, please also enter via the Avenue Road entrance at 8:45am. The morning performance will begin at 9:15am.

Please remember to bring your ticket with you! Refreshments will be served in the Great Hall before each performance and during the interval.

On Thursday 11th July – the morning after the second evening performance – children can either come in to school at the normal time of 8.20am, or at the later time of 10am. Please do not drop off your children in between these times, as they will need to be registered at either 8.20am or 10am.

Many thanks for your ongoing help and support – we hope you enjoy the show!

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Streeter, Miss Penfold, Miss Kitchen, Miss Kite and Miss Morgan
