Yesterday, Year 6 took part in inter-class sports. This half term’s sport was rounders. Well done to all the children for showing great team work, sportsmanship and respect! The Year 6 teachers were very impressed!
Congratulations to 6K, who were the overall winners!
Next week, we will be continuing with our topic of The Maya and the children will adding to their writing portfolios which will support their final grade. We will also be completing music and art activities linked to the topic.
This week, the class teacher awards go to the whole of year 6 for their incredible perseverance and determination in this week’s SATS. All the year 6 teachers are very proud of how hard the children worked!
To encourage children to get outdoors and experience new things, we have created the Avenue Activity Passport with the help of the Department for Education.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we are launching our Avenue Activity Passport. There have been many studies into how being outdoors has a positive impact on our wellbeing. The Avenue Activity Passport provides you with activities to try to complete.
The Avenue Activity Passport includes a range of activities for children from Reception to Year 6. Most activities will require some adult supervision.
Please let your class teacher know the activities you’ve completed.
